About Me
Hello, world! They call me Dink, ’cuz I’m a petite basset hound girl. I’m about 3 years old and came to CBHR along with Marco and Fern. We were among 50 dogs removed from a bad situation, and I am soooo happy to be in my loving foster home.
I’m a total sweetheart, and I adore cuddling with the humans. My fosters say I’m a complete wiggle butt – I wag my tail a lot because I’m a happy girl who loves my new life. I enjoy going out in the backyard and chasing some squirrels, and generally playing. They also say I am the perfect dog!
I don’t like to be alone because I really like people. I also get along with the other hounds, including Murray, another CBHR foster hound. (He’s still waiting for his very special forever home – you can read more about him on this website.) However, my foster mom isn’t crating me and I am well behaved. And I am getting better now that I am settling in.
I am learning commands and respond appropriately – I told you I’m the perfect hound! Sunning outside and doing zoomies in the house are some of my favorite activities. I get along with all people I meet. I haven’t met any of the younger humans yet, but my fosters think I would do just fine as long as they aren’t overly rambunctious when they first meet me.
My potty training is a work in progress, mostly because I get so distracted by all the interesting smells out there that I forget why I went outside in the first place.
I am a major cuddler and love to sleep in the bed with my fosters. They say it would be a crime for someone not to adopt me, and they are seriously considering it, but keep checking back on my progress. My fosters expect that I’ll be very popular, so if you like what you see, contact CBHR and get your application in!
Gotta go play now. Dink, out!
