About Me

Hello! I’m a friendly girl named Daisy, and I have come a long way from hiding in the laundry room when I first arrived at my CBHR foster home to enjoying all the comfy beds in the house. I just feel so welcome!

I might be 9 years old, but I am still a fast learner – I have learned how to sit and shake in the short time I’ve been here! I really like my walks. I get three each day, and I like to follow a schedule. I like routine, especially for my bathroom breaks. I’m very good as long as I stay on schedule.

One of my favorite things – besides lounging on all the beds – is when I lay outside in the sunshine. I love having those warm rays on my bones! Car rides are also fun. I usually ride in back, but I’d rather ride shotgun in the front!

I love, love people, especially men. I like to sit in their laps. As a typical basset hound, I love the sound of my own voice. I bark to remind the people when it’s time for dinner, and my foster moms say I’m pretty loud sometimes. They are working with me to help me learn other ways to get attention, and don’t you worry – they say I am very trainable.

I’m a bit on the chonky side, so I am fed with a slow-feed bowl and I get healthy watermelon and carrots for snacks. My healthy diet plus all my walks should help me lose a few pounds and look spectacular. But keep an eye out. I like to counter-surf, and one day I managed to snarf a muffin I found there.

My house manners are generally good, though. I don’t need to be crated, and I don’t have any separation anxiety. I’m good with other dogs but have no experience with cats. I don’t have a lot of experience around children but my fosters feel with the proper guidance, I would do well with most children. I just need to get used to being around them.

The goal of my fosters is to help me smooth out some of my rougher edges and be ready to find my forever family. Won’t you contact CBHR and tell them you want to know more about Daisy? I’ll be waiting to meet you!
