*Fig has found his forever home!*
Howdy! They call me Fig, and I’m the sweetest boy you’ll ever meet. I came to CBHR as a very sick boy with pneumonia, but now that I’m feeling better, my personality is showing. I’m a happy-go-lucky guy who just wants to have fun and be loved.
I’m what they call a “bagel” – part basset, part beagle – and I am enjoying myself immensely in my foster home. I’ve got lots of energy since I’m a young guy, about 19 months old, and I have a mischievous streak as well. For one thing, I do love me some good chow, and I sometimes want to reach for goodies on the counter. But my foster mom is teaching me I need to wait until something gets put in my bowl.
I am learning new commands and have proven to be a quick study. I still have accidents now and then, but I am making progress in that area. I really enjoy playing with the other dogs in the house and would like a home that has at least one doggie friend.
Although I have tons of energy, I let Foster Mom know when it’s time for me to get in my crate to have some alone time or get some sleep.
I thought I had found my forever home, but now I am available for adoption and looking for my happily ever after. I really want to be in the ranks of the Happy Hounds on the CBHR website soon.
