About Me
*Abby has been adopted!*
Hiya, folks! My name is Abby, and I’m a somewhat shy girl who hasn’t spent a lot of time indoors. I was a breeding hound, but now I am ready to put that motherhood stuff behind me and learn to be part of a loving forever family.
I still have some medical issues to work through, as well as some emotional baggage as a result of not having a very good past life. My fosters are helping me build trust and learn how to be an indoor houndie. It’s going to take a little time, because my previous experiences have made me nervous around new people and situations.
I’m constantly hungry and food-driven, but so far I haven’t been aggressive around food. I’m learning to walk on a leash, but only in the house until after I’m spayed. I’m also learning that there is a thing called dog toys – I was unfamiliar with them before I came to CBHR.
However, I am housetrained and I am good in the car. With patience, I will come out of my shell, I’m sure.
In short, I need time to get adjusted to the idea of having a family that provides me with love and warmth. And toys!
Keep checking back on me. My fosters will send updates as I continue making progress toward being a hound a forever family will just love. And if you are interested in making me part of your family, contact CBHR and ask for Abby!
