About Me

*Bea has been adopted!*

Hello and wags, everybody! My name is Bea, and I was one of a trio of sweet puppies who came to CBHR from another organization that rescued a whole bunch of bassets from a bad situation. My sister, brother and I were just 9 weeks old when we showed up, and as you can imagine each of us is a full-on puppy.

My foster family says I’m a sweet and energetic young girl who needs some training. I am loving and very playful. And what I love the most is being outside. I mean, I REALLY love being outside, so my new home should have a fenced yard or someone who has the time and energy to take me on lots of long walk-and-sniffs. I love a long leash so I can explore a bit.

Being just a puppy, I have a lot of things I need to work on to be a mannerly member of a forever family, and my foster mom is working on that. I am working on housetraining and general obedience issues, but I will need a patient family who can give me the guidance and consistency I need to be the best basset girl I can be.

I do hate being alone, and I sleep with my foster mom because I just don’t like the idea of sleeping all alone. I howl or bark when crated, but I love people and am good with children and adults, as well as other dogs. I chase the cat, but I’m just being my energetic, playful self, and I will need to learn how to more politely interact with other critters.

I won’t be available for a while, because I still have to be spayed, but if you have the patience and wherewithall to keep up with an energetic, happy puppy who needs a little help learning the rules of good behavior, let CBHR know you’d like to learn more about Bea!
