About Me

*Hopper has been adopted!*

It’s me, Hopper, and I am one terrific hound! At least, that’s how my foster mom feels about me. I’ve been hanging out with her family for a few weeks now, and I’m learning to love this new life of mine.

I’ve had some tough experiences in my short, 19-month-old life that left me scared and a little skittish around new people, but my great foster family is helping me learn that I can find a family who will give me the love and patience I deserve.

I seem to prefer women, although I warm up to men and children once I get a chance to sniff them and get to know them. My foster mom says I am becoming more comfortable and confident as I learn that people can be trusted to treat me right.

Right now, I am having a great time wrestling with my fellow foster dog and chowing down on some delicious food. I’m fed separately because I would snarf up as much food as I could shovel into my mouth. But don’t you worry, I am showing no food aggression – I just love to eat!

I am also housetrained and am studying Miss Manners to make sure I know how to be a polite companion. Just kidding – I don’t know who that is, but I really am working on my house etiquette.

I just arrived recently with CBHR but keep checking back for updates. And if you think I might be the basset for you, give CBHR a shout – or better yet, use the handy links on this website to say you’d like to talk more about Hopper!
