About Me
*Captain has been adopted!*
Ahoy, mates! I’m the Captain, and if you take a shine to me, I’ll happily be your Captain. I’m a sweet, energetic 11-month-old guy who just loves people, especially the young ‘uns.
I’m new to CBHR, but my foster mom says I’m learning quickly how to be an indoor dog. I am learning to obey commands, and I am adjusting well to a life of discipline and order. I also am reliably housetrained.
Foster Mom says I have the typical basset traits, including stubbornness. She jokingly refers to me as her “little hooligan,” but I am already bonding with her and her family.
She thinks I will be a great dog for an active family, perhaps with another dog. I get along great with the other dog in the house and don’t think much about bothering other animals when I’m out on a walk. I’m good on a leash, by the way.
I sleep in my crate at night but get anxious when left alone crated during the day. I’m not crazy about riding in the car, but my fosters think it’s just because it’s a new experience. They think I will get used to it.
I’m a young guy, as I mentioned, so I am still learning to be my best basset self. I do love to eat and will gobble up any food put down, whether it’s mine or not. For that reason, I eat separately from the other dog.
Bottom line: I’m a good boy seeking a loving family where I can get loads of attention and abundant belly rubs. If you think I might be a good fit for your home, I sure would l ike to meet you. Contact CBHR and ask for me, Captain!
