About Me
*Lulu crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 2, 2023. She spent her last months being loved by her wonderful CBHR foster family. Run free, Miss Lulu!*
Hi, y’all! My name is Lulu, and I’m a senior lady who has had a rough time recently. I’m a basset mix who was removed from my previous owner due to neglect, and the good people at CBHR took me in. I’m so happy to get a fresh start!
My foster parents say I’m a very smart girl with a wonderful demeanor and a healthy appetite. Although I’m 14 years old, I am pretty agile. I have learned quickly to walk on a leash, and I’m catching on to this housetraining thing. I am working on letting my people know when I need to go outside.
Since coming to my foster home, my socialization skills are improving quickly. I’m a polite houseguest and don’t bark. I’m pretty good at going up steps and a ramp. I don’t play a lot – a lady of my age has earned the right to rest up! – but I am a good dog.
I’m being treated for some skin issues and thinning hair right now, but keep checking on my progress. I also am underweight and could use a few extra calories. CBHR will post me as available for adoption once I get more settled in and get some help with my skin problems.
But if you have room in your heart and home for a senior girl like me, contact CBHR and ask for Lulu!
