About Me

Howdy, everyone! You can call me Rhodey. I’m a sweet 3-year-old boy who loves people. I’m a recent addition to the CBHR rescue group, so I’m still learning my way. My foster family says they think I’ve had some training, although my potty manners are still a work in progress. I sit very nicely, though, and I don’t get on the furniture.

I really am a gentle and loving dog. If you offer me a snack (oh, please, please!), I will take it from you very politely. I like the traditional dog treats, of course, but I also am happy chomping on carrots, apples and melons. I love other dogs – I’m not sure about cats, since I haven’t had much exposure to them – and I am equally affectionate with men and women. I don’t have experience with the younger humans, but given my nature, I probably can learn to love them too.

Curiosity is one of my most endearing traits. I tilt my head when I hear an unfamiliar noise, and I really like to sniff the air in the kitchen when Foster Mom is cooking. I am still learning my leash manners and have to learn not to cross in front of the people when they are walking me, but I walk pretty well using one of those things they call a “gentle leader.”

Cars? Yes, please! When I was riding to my foster home, I stuck my head between the front seats so I could see where we were going.

Although I’m still relatively new to CBHR, I am working on becoming a great pet for some lucky family. If you would like to learn more about me, contact CBHR and ask for Rhodey!
