I am Mazie! I am a well-adjusted, independent 13-year-old hound. I was well cared for by my previous owners, and I don’t really have any negative issues. I bark when I need something – although I leave it to you to guess exactly what it is I need. I am not a super cuddly dog or a lap dog, and do fine when left alone.
I use the doggie door with no problems! At night I sleep on my dog bed, and you don’t need to worry about crating me when you’re gone.
Due to my age and arthritis, I am not able to use stairs, although a small threshold or single small step isn’t a problem. Since coming to CBHR, I’ve had a cyst removed from my eyelid, and I got my teeth cleaned.
I’m a big fan of sleeping in front of a heater when it’s cold outside – as an older lady, I like keeping warm. I’d love to meet my forever family, as long as they keep in mind that I do have some needs as a geriatric hound and don’t mind my that I’m not a snuggly lap dog. I like to maintain a little independent streak. But please contact CBHR and ask about me, Mazie!
