Brinkley

Hi – I’m Brinkley.  There are things I love that I want you to know, and things I don’t really love and hope you can help me with.

I have bounced around from many homes over the last year, and I’m a bit confused and not sure what to think.  I love being with my person, especially on their lap.  What startles me is when more people just show up; I need help understanding that this is ok and someone who will help me learn to not be so reactive when people show up.  I need my person to let me know what is ok while I learn to trust the world around me. I am not ready for more dogs in my house or immediate surroundings, I have too much to get comfortable with.   If you are open to helping me build trust in a forever home, I will promise to always be your best basset whether sleeping on your lap or by your feet.

Brinkley is an adorable, healthy young basset who has not had the benefit of a stable home in her early years.  If you are able to give this girl a secure, consistent home with minimal disruptions and no other dogs, we think she will be a wonderful addition.
