About Me
Fly high sweet Fred.
Do you ever wake up and just say to yourself, “I am lucky to be here, loved, and look forward to making the most out of the day?” That’s how I start most of my days, and for the most part, my life is good. I am in my foster home with my bonded friend, Angel, and we are approaching our 1-yr anniversary. I don’t expect it will be a big celebration but that doesn’t mean it’s not a big deal. For that matter, every day is a big deal!
My foster family continues to take care of me and allow me just to do, or not do, things. These days I am content to rest, take my medications, be comfortable, and eat when I feel like it. Some days the main goal is to simply manage my medications and find something I like to eat. My foster mom and dad do a great job with that, and often will make me a special homemade meal. There’s not any one thing that needs treated and most are just related to my geriatric condition. Realistically I know I won’t get better and am content just to live out my days being pampered and adored. As we all get older isn’t that what we all want… bassets, people, cats? Well, maybe not the cats.
