Little Rocky came to CBHR very sick weighing only 23 pounds at 11 months. He had a rare, very serious liver condition that resulted in failure to grow. He kept developing raging infections throughout his body. It seemed his only option was euthanasia; but we thought he might have a glimmer of hope, and all of you contributed so generously to provide him medical care.
The specialists at the NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine diagnosed his condition and outlined a plan of care. Several foster homes saw him through treatment including medications and six feedings a day. He will require special food and medication for the rest of his life, but he is thriving and now has a forever family who loves him and is able to care for him.
We are proud that we have never had to say “no” to a hound who needed our help. We couldn’t do it without you. Thank you for your support.
