Duke

About Me

The day Duke arrived as our foster he became instant buddies with our pups Theo and Owen. He tried out all the couches, chairs, dog beds and showed us he knew how to use the doggie door. We knew from that first day that he would need surgery to remove a mass.

He was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma and it wasn’t long that we were told he was already in the advanced stages.

Duke was a goofy lovable pup. He liked having his head rubbed, his ears scratched and exploring the back yard. He enjoyed riding in the car even if it usually was another trip to the vet. Duke was usually by my side or under my feet and even though I never saw him wag his tail he was a happy fellow.

On April 25, 2019 while scratching those big ears and kissing his sweet face, I helped him cross the rainbow bridge. Duke was only with us for three months but during that time he became a much loved member of our family and will be greatly missed.
