Bowie is 1 1/2 year old basset - husky mix. He is neutered and is current on shots and microchipped. He is very healthy and has a very shiny coat. He weighs approximatley 70lbs. Bowie is very good with other pets - cats and dogs and with children. You can't tell from this picture but he has a blue eye and a brown eye. He looks very much like a Basset but as you can see his face isn't as droopy. He needs a back yard with a fence as he loves to run and play. He lives inside with us but would love to have a yard to play in preferably with other animals to play with. He has no formal training but responds well to his name and "No".

What an interesting mixture this gal is. A pleasing personality, Cinnamon is extremely laid back. Give her a porch and a mint julip, this gal would be in heaven. She loves people and enjoys a good cuddle. Cinnamon came to us heartworm positive but due to the generosity of supporters, she is now heartworm negative and healthy. She loves to play ball and she can also amuse herself with one all day.
She gets along great with other dogs until it is lap or cuddle time - she gets quite jealous when another animal wants in on the loving too. She would like a home with kids age 10 and up.
She just oozes sweetness and love - and is looking for a companion to call her own.

Clementine is an (almost) 5 year old female Bassett Hound mix weighing around 60 lbs. She has been fully vetted (DHLPP and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella, dewormed, phys. exam, Heartworm test, Heartworm/Flea/Tick preventatives), spayed and she's microchipped.
Clem was turned into the Char-Meck Animal Shelter two years ago shortly after having puppies and was adopted out again, unspayed, with a medical waiver because she was still lactating. She was returned to the shelter this March, still unspayed and Heartworm positive. She was treated for the Heartworms (and did very well) and has since tested negative.
Clem is good with other dogs and gentle with all people. She's not been around cats much, but has done fine when she's seen them at the vet's office. She's still working on her house-training, but is very comfortable with being in her crate when unsupervised. She also walks well on leash.
She's a typical hound: very laid back and very comfortable in your company. She sits for pats and kisses and eats on her belly (which she loves to have rubbed) with her face in her bowl!
