About Me
They call me Sweet Pea, and I live up to my name. I’m easygoing and very loving around adults, kids and other dogs. I just loooove to be petted, but I’m a polite girl – I don’t jump on people to get attention.
I’m not quite 8 years old and was one of the dozen bassets in the big CBHR caravan that brought us all from our former home, where we were backyard breeding dogs, into our new foster homes. And I have adapted to the good life indoors very well!
I walk nicely on a harness, and I am happy to sleep in my crate, where it’s warm and cozy. I don’t wake till the humans do. Because I was an outdoor dog, I do love being outdoors more than indoors. I’m trying to learn the difference between signaling my need just to be outdoors and my need to go potty, but my housetraining is doing pretty well.
I am not a fan of going up and down stairs, but I do well with a dog ramp. I’m also a little skittish around abrupt noises, but who isn’t?
Anyway, you’d be hard pressed to find a sweeter, calmer, more polite lady than me. If you would like to have a loving forever basset, contact CBHR and ask for Sweet Pea!
