Have you ever known a reluctant hero? I am willing to bet you know the story of my namesake, but you might ask what does an older dog like me have in common with a celebrated hero? For starters, I am quiet and intentional. In fact, my foster mom has never heard me bark. I am also friendly, mature, and have “paid my dues” by my experiences.

A few specific things you might want to know about me are that I like attention but am not overly cuddly. Don’t get me wrong, I really adore people but am content to have them as companions and available for me to follow around. I am well behaved, like to walk on a leash, and get along with kids and other dogs. Most of my younger days were probably outside so I am learning how to use a crate and all about house breaking. I get around well for my age but am hard of hearing.

You can see from my pictures that I am a basset mix, best described as a “bagle”
(beagle/basset). Since I am new to the CBHR I need a bit of time to get medically cleared. Meanwhile, why don’t you get in touch with them to find out more about me. There is every possibility I will do a controlled landing in somebody’s home soon as their own special hero. We might call it “Miracle on the Couch.”
