About Me

Hello there! They call me Sally, and you’ll have to excuse my shyness. I’m fairly new to CBHR and I need some time to get used to being around new people. My foster dad says I’m skittish and afraid of just about everything, including sudden moves and loud noises.  That said, I’m a very sweet, mild-mannered girl about 14 months old when I have a chance to get settled. I tend to be more fearful of men than of women and kiddos, but my foster dad is a great guy and he and Foster Mom are teaching me how to interact with people. I also get to accompany them to work, so I’m getting lots of practice meeting new people.

They are sure I will get more relaxed and comfortable as I settle into a predictable routine. I love to play with other dogs, and so far, I have pretty much ignored kitties when I encounter them during my walks.

I’m working on my housetraining, and I will get it down, for sure. Although my fosters don’t crate me so I can learn to be part of a loving famil fine if I need to be crated. I like to sleep, especially after playtime!

Like I said before, I am still learning how to bring out my best basset self, and I know I will make some family a loving pet if you are patient and work with me. Keep checking back for updates, because one of these days, I will be ready to meet my forever family!
