About Me

Hi, everyone! It’s me, Rosie, and as my name implies, I love to stop and sniff the flowers – and anything else I run across on an outing. I am skittish when I meet new people or new dogs, but I warm up if you let me do it at my own pace. My foster family tries not to introduce me to new dogs when I’m out walking – er, sniffing – since I tend to be a bit fearful.

I’m not one bit aggressive, and I did live with other dogs in my temporary foster home. But I am really bothered by loud noises, sudden movement and unfamiliar sounds. I’m also kind of afraid of those feline balls of fur.

I love, love, love attention and want to be around my foster people all the time. Laps are one of my favorite places to catch some ZZZs, but I also understand the word no if you’re not up to having me in your lap.

I like to play with my toys and am an expert ball fetcher. I enjoy being outside in the sun. I prefer wet food but I’m getting used to a mix of wet and dry – that’s a pretty tasty combo. I’m completely housetrained but haven’t yet learned how to use the doggie door. I also sleep well in my crate.

I’m fairly new to CBHR and there are some already-approved adopters who might be interested in this young girl, but if you like my bio, check out all the other great bassets on the CBHR website. And keep checking back!
