Howdy, y’all! My name is Otis, and my foster dad says I’m a calm and well-behaved fella. I get along with all kinds of people and other animals – including the horse and backyard chickens – and don’t mind being crated for reasonable periods of time. Foster Dad says I might be about 8 years old and look like I’ve led kind of a tough life, but I would like to be part of a forever family.
I am housebroken and am warming up nicely to being a well-loved hound. Because of my hard life, I have worked hard on my socialization skills, and I’ve excelled! I am not a needy or aggressive hound, and while I like attention, I won’t stick to you like Velcro. However, I have really taken to cuddling with the humans and the other house dogs. I’m also OK hanging out by myself playing with balls and squeaky toys.
My fosters say I’m a loveable boy and will make some family a wonderful pet. So, if you’re looking to add a four-legged member to your family, just ask for me, Otis!
