Hi, Margot is my name and my foster mom says I am ALL puppy. Full of energy and utterly mischievous. I love to play with toys, plants, other dogs, shoes. I’m a bit shy at first, but really very friendly and will love you unconditionally! My foster mom is working on some house manners for me (OK, I am an enthusiastic greeter) so I may be best suited to a home with children aged 5 or above who can help train me! I’m playful and friendly with other dogs, I would love to be in a home with some furry friends who are equally excited about running, chasing, rolling around, and chewing sticks/toys/crayons/etc. My foster home says I am house trained, crate trained, dog door trained and I walk well in a leash, particularly when walking alongside another dog or two. Sometimes I’m a little nervous and unsure about strangers or new dogs in the street but I’m learning to warm up! I love food, chew toys, attention of all kinds, playing with my 4-legged pals, sleeping after a long day in the fenced yard, and generally being a very bassety basset. I’m not really a problem barker, but I will vocalize out of sheer joy at your arrival home for a few minutes, but doesn’t show any separation anxiety. I need plenty of exercise and would do great with lots of walks or a fenced yard to race around in. I’m a super smart girl, with maybe a touch of basset stubbornness thrown in!
