Layla

I’m finally home – I’ve been adopted – Thanks CBHR! 08/22/16

Hi y’all! I’m Layla, or Miss Layla. I’m so thrilled to be a part of the CBHR family. I was born in NC and adopted from the shelter when I was a few months old and everything was great, but then my humans made so many little humans that they couldn’t take care of me. I was left to live outside with my canine brother and didn’t go to the vet for 3 years. But luckily that’s ok, because I am a healthy, happy girl and life is amazing now. My foster mom and I have had so much fun. I sleep on dog beds and love to eat (I’m a basset) and take nice walks and say hello to other dogs all the time. I’m trying to teach my foster mom how to chase rabbits but she just doesn’t run fast enough. I am only 8 years young. My foster mom and I decided my birthday is July 4th because that was when I began my new life with CBHR. So I’m Miss Layla Liberty.
Everyone loves me because I’m super easy. I’m pretty much housebroken though I sometimes have teeny accidents when I’m left alone. I don’t really like being left alone, who does, so I’m trying to work on crate training and learn to relax a little and find something to do to keep myself occupied when my foster mom is out. I guess I could nap a little extra. Personally, I don’t know why she goes anywhere without me, because she always comes home and we tell how much we missed each other. I love car rides. I like watching things go by, or I sleep with my chin on the armrest next to foster mom. I can’t think of anything I don’t like. I just want a home with people, and the more time we can spend together, the better. Could you be the one I’ve been looking for? Contact CBHR today and ask about Miss Layla. 07/25/16
