Jolene, Joleene, Joleeene, Joleeeene…. As the song says, my “beauty is beyond compare” with “my flaming locks of auburn hair.” Well, hum, maybe tints of auburn in my short hair. All that said, I have many more great attributes other than my good looks. I am a young, rambunctious girl and am full of energy. I do really well with other dogs, and am gentle when we share meals and treats. I am very dependably house trained and don’t mind a crate at all. Plus, I seem to love everyone!
My foster mom says I am a little “mouthy.” The puppy part of me comes out every now and then, and I just need some discipline to get it under control. It’s just that sometimes putting people’s hands, shoes, and other loose objects in my mouth seems like a good way to show how happy I am. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t chew, I just use my mouth as a form of greeting. Part of being mouthy is also that I like the sound of my own voice, and am learning that my “inside voice” is something I need to work on. I guess I am just a “basset toddler” and will learn as I am taught better manners and mature a bit.
So, if you are looking for a young, sweet, and peppy girl I might just be the basset for whom you have been waiting. I will need some patience, structure, and discipline but I will fill your home with lots of fun and adventure. I promise not to steal anyone’s man, but am not sure I can say the same thing about your heart
