CBHR’s sweet senior foster girl, EmmyLou passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 due to an aggressive abdominal tumor. EmmyLou was loved so much by her foster mom and dad, Melissa and Wayne. She didn’t know she was a foster dog, she simply knew she was loved and had a soft, warm, special place to call home. Thank you to everyone for helping CBHR give these special hounds a place to call home!

Hi, I’m Emmylou! I’m young at heart, and looking for a fresh start. I’m 10 years young and have a lot of love to give! I am easy going and get along well with other dogs. I spend most of my time curled up on my bed snoozing. I’m not quite house trained, but it won’t be long, I’m working really hard. I’ve been here with my foster family for a week, they let me get on the couch in the back room, and I sure do love it. I’m slowly gaining my strength back after being trapped in a ravine for who knows how long. But I’m safe and sound now, so the search can begin for my forever home… all I need is LOVE! If you have love to give, preferably in the form of belly rubs, then give CBHR a call. I’m your gal – just ask for me – EmmyLou! 11/15/13
