*Daphne has been adopted!*
Hi, y’all! I’m Daphne, and this isn’t my first rodeo with CBHR. You see, I was returned after initially being adopted. But I really hope someone sees my bio and finds it in their hearts to give me another chance at my happy ever after. I’m a petite girl, about 4 years old, and I deserve my perfect match.
My new foster family says I’m doing great, and they love having me around. My foster mom says I’m cuddly and sweet. But I do have some, er, quirks. Confession: I have such a strong houndie hunting instinct that I chase cats and chickens like prey, so I definitely can’t have a home with either of those. I also am a bit of an escape artist and like to try to dig my way under the fence, so I’ll need a family that supervises me a little closer when I’m outside.
I get along pretty well with my foster mom’s pack. Foster Mom thinks I might be happier as an only dog because I sometimes get a little possessive of my toys and my humans around other doggies. I’m not mean, just jealous. And I’m working on it. But I would be very happy with a home where I get all the loves and attention. And toys!
I’m good with adults and most children, but I get really excited and tend to jump on people, so some children might not warm up to me. I don’t have much relevant experience around infants or toddlers.
My foster family is working with me on my socialization issues and my manners, and CBHR is really good at making sure we hounds have the best possible chance to find our perfect forever family. I really want to make a good impression; I just need help learning how.
The good news is I am reliably housetrained and as I noted before, I love to cuddle with the people. I know I’m not perfect – yet – but I have great potential. I’m hoping so hard that my forever family spots my picture and asks CBHR for more information about me.
They can even arrange a meet and greet! Just ask for Daphne! Now I have to go play with my foster pack. Toodles!
