Some words about our rescued angel…. Lola Rosas
We have always been animal lovers. On November 2011 we lost our beloved Odie, a 12 years old Doberman-Pincher. She was our first dog, our first daughter. Even we have a Labrador who is now 10 years old, after we lost Odie and suffered like we have never suffered before, we decided that we wouldn’t have more dogs to avoid suffering so much. However, a year passed, and I started feeling that I needed another dog in my life. My husband and son wouldn’t agree, since they still cry for Odie and remember her everyday.
I started looking for a Basset, and contacted other organization, but the dog I liked had already found a family, so I contacted CBHR . Somehow I convinced my husband and son of doing it, but I could feel that they were doing it just to please me, but that they were still scared. However, the day we saw the first pictures of Lola, they changed their mind in one second, and wanted to adopt Lola and her brother !!! We couldn’t adopt Tides because he had a home already, but God blessed us and we adopted Lola. She is adorable, cute, beautiful, sweet, and has tons of love to give. Even the neighbors that don’t like dogs love Lola’s wet kisses. She is like a celebrity dog, and when we go to soccer games people stop to take pictures with her! She was the sensation of the 4th of July Parade here in Harrisburg, NC, and have been on pictures on the website of the national newspaper of Uruguay – South America, the country were my husband and I were born. We love her and cannot imagine our lives without our adorable Lola.
