Good day, everyone! My name’s Jake. I’m a senior guy, about 10 1/2 years old, and my CBHR story starts at an animal shelter, where some of the wonderful volunteers with this rescue picked me up and saved me.
I’m a sweet boy and just want someone to love me. So far, I’m being a good houseguest, although as a former stray, I am still learning the finer points of potty training. My fosters are so good with me, and they say I fit in very nicely with their household – so much so that they are planning to adopt me!
I love to play with the other dogs in the house and am very patient with them. I like to go for walks, but I get excited and pull a little on the leash – so many smells to explore! I am good in the car and in crowds, and I get along great with all adults. I don’t have much experience with children or kitty-cats yet.
It looks like my story is going to have a happy ending, and I want that for all the other great houndies CBHR takes in, too! Won’t you look around and see if one of them might work their way into your heart? Maybe even as a foster family!
Or perhaps you’d be willing to make a contribution to help CBHR provide the medical care most of us badly need. That gets expensive, and this rescue is 100% volunteer. I sure would appreciate anything you might do to help.
