Flo

Flo

Hello everyone! My name is Flo, which is short for Florence if you want to know. I am so excited to be your new Foster Dog of The Week. Actually, I am pretty excited about everything in life. My foster Mom says that I am the most energetic basset that she has ever met, and she has met quite a few of them. She says I am like the Energizer Bunny. I don’t know what that is, but I bet it’s pretty cool.

I am about five years old and I had a pretty rough start to my life. I have been at my foster home for about nine months now, and boy have I come a long way. When I first got here I was not house broken or socialized and not used to all the great things that come from having a real family. I was quite a project but you would never know it now. I am 100% housebroken and have become the loving sweet gal that I was supposed to be if I had gotten a fair shake in life. I have even learned a few tricks, but you might have to ask me to do them a couple of times before I show you because I am a basset hound after all.

I love my people and my doggie siblings, and I have even come to tolerate the cat that lives with us. That cat and I got off to a bumpy start, but she is family so we have come to an understanding. We don’t have any kids at my house, but I went on a visit and met one that was five years old just like me. We ran around the yard for the whole visit and had a great time. If you have a kid that needs tiring out I am perfect for the job. When the lady who writes Foster Dog of The Week called my foster mom for some information about me, I was so touched by all the great things she said about me. I am so intelligent (her words not mine) that I knew she was talking about me and I stared at her the whole time she was on the phone. She is pretty proud of me, and I show her how thankful I am everyday. I am now ready to find my forever home and start the next chapter of my life. I am great company and a big snuggle bunny. Now is your chance to add me to your family; I promise I will make you proud to be my owner. Why don’t you start the adoption application process so you can take me home.
