Illustrated books by Laura Wilson$10 per book - email LSWilson49@aol.com to order
Basset Hounds are a special breed beloved by people who amble along a trail. Bred in France and England, bassets love a good smell and a chase. They follow their long noses. They take life slowly. I invite you to follow Tim and rosie, two basset hounds, while they walk a lazy park path. I hope you see through their droopy eyes the animals, plants of the park a few inches from the ground.
Laura Wilson is a retired teacher and social worker from Libertyville, Illinois. When she adopted Fred and Rosie from Mid American Basset Rescue, she shifted from short stories, features for newspapers, and poetry to a children's picture book about these lovable hounds. Her other works have been published in college literary magazines, the Gannett Newspapers, and online. She was awarded second place in the Hemingway Short Story Contest.
